Why Yadukul

Serving a Tradition Carried Through Generations

In the homes we come from, ghee was the family's wealth. It was made patiently, stored with care and shared generously. No one rushed it, stretched it or mixed anything into it. Neither do we.

Churned from curdMilk is set into curd overnight, then churned with a wooden bilona, just as it has been for generations.

Slow cooked in small batchesThe makhan simmers over a low flame until it turns golden, grainy and deeply aromatic.

Nothing added. Ever.No preservatives, no colour, no vegetable oil. Only pure ghee.

Lab tested, batch by batchEvery batch is tested against FSSAI ghee standards before it is sealed in glass.

Free grazing. Fresh fodder. The bilona way.

A road through green fields at sunset in rural Haryana

Our Story

A tribute to the families who shaped our idea of purity, tradition and trust.

A villager with a calf and cow
The name

YADUKUL

HeritageGenerations of families who raised cattle and made ghee at home.
कुलFamily. The people you feed before yourself.

Yadukul honours the families who valued real nourishment long before food trends came and went. In their homes, the herd was family, ghee was wealth, and nothing about making it was ever rushed.

We bring that same care to every jar today. Traditional methods, refined to meet modern standards of quality, safety and taste, for families across India who care about what they eat.

Our Mission

To bring pure, honest, traditionally made dairy to every Indian household, through consistent care, responsible sourcing and transparent production.

Our Vision

To become India's most trusted name in traditional dairy: a bridge between the purity of the past and the standards of today, where every spoonful feels like home.

Where Water Was Scarce, Ghee Was Precious

In the Thar, ghee was never an indulgence. It was how a family said: we are doing well, and you are welcome here.

How Our Bilona Ghee Is Made

From free grazing cattle to a jar of danedar ghee. Eight steps, no shortcuts.

It all begins in the fields

Happy Cattle. Fresh Fodder. Open Skies.

Great ghee is decided long before it reaches the kitchen. Our desi cows and buffaloes graze freely in open fields, with fresh green fodder, clean water and plenty of room to roam. They are cared for like family, because in our homes they always have been.

Why it matters

Why Curd, and Not Cream?

Most ghee on the shelf today is made directly from cream. Bilona ghee takes the long road, and you can taste the difference.

01

Curd, not cream

Commercial ghee skips fermentation and uses high speed machines to separate cream from milk. Bilona ghee begins with curd, set naturally overnight and churned by hand.

02

Gentle, never rushed

Hand churning and a low, patient flame. No high speed separators and no high heat processing, only the slow method our grandmothers trusted.

03

More milk, more care

It takes roughly 25 to 30 litres of milk to make a single litre of bilona ghee. You can taste that effort in its richer, nuttier aroma and naturally grainy texture.

Stories From Our Roots

Before ghee was a product, it was part of a way of life. Here's the life it comes from.

White-bearded elder in a turban with camels behind him
Tau, Pushkar mela

"छोरे, रोटी सूखी खावेगा के?"Son, you'll eat that roti dry?

Tau ki salaah

Advice Nobody Asked For. Always Right.

Every North Indian family has one. The tau who wakes before the rooster and judges your ghee by smell from the doorway. He has never read a label in his life. He never needed to.

  • Breakfast: two rotis, one katori of ghee on the side, and an opinion on everything.
  • The test: if the courtyard doesn't smell it, it isn't real ghee.
  • The rule: ghee goes on the roti while it's hot. Never after.

The village akhada wakes before the sun. Red mitti, a thousand dands and a steel glass of doodh after. On dangal day every mother sends her pehlwan off with the same line: eat your ghee before you go.
